Protect Endangered Sea Life

Target: Benjamin Friedman, Administrator (acting) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Goal: Put regulations that protect endangered sea animals back on the table for federal government consideration.

Donald Trump is condemning endangered whales, dolphins, sharks, and sea turtles to death. His administration recently ordered the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to throw out a rule that would have protected endangered sea life from sword fishing gill nets.

The proposed rule would have measured endangered sea life off the coast of California that had been killed by nets and would have halted sword fishing when the count became too high. However, now there will be no limit at all.

Our diminishing sea life is already under attack. These nets kill about 100 protected animals every single year. Sign the petition and demand that the proposed regulation be reinstated. If the rapid murder rate of these animals continues, there will be no hope of ever saving them from extinction.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Friedman,

Your organization recently tossed out proposed legislation, at the demand of the Trump Administration, that would have saved endangered sea life like whales, sharks, dolphins, and sea turtles. The regulation would have protected these animals from deadly sword fish nets.

However, now the nets will continue to kill 100 endangered sea animals every single year. If this murder continues, our oceans will be depleted of their unique, endangered species. I demand that the proposed regulation be put back on the table for the betterment of the future of our oceans and our planet.

Sincerely,

  1. The oceans are badly polluted and overfished, and we need to do all we possibly can to help save all sea life from extinction.

  2. LL wildlife, including MARINE LIFE, is essential for the survival of the planet and the humans who live on it. Each species, no matter its size nor how insignificant it may seem to humans, has its own role in making this planet work and thrive efficiently.

Humans, however, are the least necessary species on earth, and the earth and every other species on it would fare much better without any of us or the destruction we leave in our wake.

Man’s self-righteousness, selfishness, callousness, carelessness, thoughtlessness, greed and avarice is destroying our planet and all who live on it.

  4. Here in Puget Sound WA we are going to lose all of the government’s aid because there is a know-nothing running this country into the ground. It will be to all of us to fill the void in funds. Many people already give time, money and resources to so many causes, but they, and everyone, will need to step up to do more. Keeping the country living more safely and vibrantly is the duty of everyone.

  5. Let’s stop the suffering and premature, needless deaths of our ocean’s animals — Let’s prioritize their protections — do NOT neglect them.
