Punish Man Accused of Throwing Kittens Onto the Street

Target: Bill Montgomery, Prosecuting Attorney for Maricopa County, Arizona

Goal: Seek justice for kittens allegedly thrown from roof.

A man has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after allegedly throwing kittens from his home onto the street below. Police were called to the home of 26-year-old Andrew Gomez Vance to do an animal welfare check after neighbors reported that they saw him throw a kitten onto the street, where it was struck by a car. Officers claim that when they arrived, they saw a kitten fall from the roof of the home.

Witnesses also said that they saw Vance searching the area with a flashlight in what they suspected was an attempt to look for more cats. Vance claims that the kitten that police saw fall from the roof was placed there because the mother cat was on the roof as well. Police found no evidence to back this up. He then claimed that he threw the other kitten onto the street because it was suffering.

Though Vance claims to have good intentions, the fact remains that these alleged actions endangered the lives of innocent cats. Had he actually had good intentions, he could have waited until the morning when animal welfare professionals could come rescue and take care of any injured or stranded animals.

This type of apparent deliberate cruelty has become rampant. In order to stop it, law enforcement must take a hard stance against animal cruelty offenders. Sign the petition below to ask the prosecutor to seek the maximum possible penalty against Vance if he is found guilty in this case.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Montgomery,

A Glendale man is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly throwing kittens into the street to be run over. When police responded to a call about these allegations, they say that they saw a kitten falling from the roof of a home. While the accused claims to have had only the best intentions for the cats, he endangered them by not calling animal welfare professionals for help with the rescue and medical care of injured and stranded animals.

This seems to be a case of deliberate and malicious animal cruelty. Cases like these have become all too common, and in order to stop them, we must start taking a tough stance against animal cruelty offenders. We, the undersigned, ask you to seek the harshest possible penalty for this man, if he is convicted.

Sincerely,

I agree with you ONE MILLION percent! That is the most perfect response there could ever be for this POS and all others just like him. If only they could all suffer not like they caused an innocent precious creature to suffer- but much much MUCH worse.

Yes put them in jail and tell all the other prisoners- the biggest, the most vile, the most demented, the meanest, and especially the ones who love animals what they are in for and that they will get extra food for doing ANYTHING they want to them! Hell give them a 6 pack for it.
