Dog and Cat Allegedly Starved to Death Deserve Justice

Target: Dave Aronberg, State’s Attorney for Palm Beach County, Florida

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the woman who allegedly abandoned her cat and dog, causing them to starve to death.

A cat and dog died painfully after they were reportedly starved to death. The owner told police that she was out of state and that a man was occupying her apartment at the time of the animals’ deaths. Demand justice for these innocent animals.

A maintenance worker responded to the Boynton Beach apartment after neighbors complained of a foul odor. Inside, the worker reportedly found the dead bodies of Moose, a Pomeranian/Chihuahua, and Pablo, a gray and white cat. Pablo was reportedly found in the toilet and Moose in the back of a closet. Per the necropsy results, the animals died from “a lack of food and water.”

Ashley Giselle Alicea was charged with two counts of felony cruelty to animals and two counts of animal abandonment. Sign below and demand that Alicea receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State’s Attorney Aronberg,

A dog and cat suffered tremendously when they were allegedly starved to death. The animals’ bodies were reportedly found in an apartment with no access to food or water. We demand justice for these innocent animals.

Boynton Beach officers reportedly received conflicting information when they contacted Alicea regarding the death of her pets, Moose and Pablo. She allegedly told officers that she was living out of state, but provided inconsistent answers about her location and length of absence. She also claimed that a man was living in her apartment at the time, but that he hadn’t been instructed to care for the animals.

This dog and cat suffered and died needlessly. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

I demand justice for Moose and Pablo! Those responsible for starving these poor animals to death must be punished harshly!

Baha’i Writings ~ “To the blessed animals, however, the utmost kindness should be exercised: the more the better it will be. Man is generally sinful and the animal is innocent. Educate the children in their infancy in such a way that they may become exceedingly kind and merciful to the animals. If an animal is sick they should endeavour to cure it; if it is hungry, they should feed it; if it is thirsty, they should satisfy its thirst; if it is tired, they should give it rest”.
