Target: Mason County Attorney Hon. John Estill

Goal: Convict George Samuel Jones of animal cruelty for starving horses to death

George Samuel Jones, the Mason County, Kentucky farmer who was arrested on 16 counts of failure to dispose of horse carcasses and one count of animal cruelty, has been released from prison and he continues to neglect his animals. This is further evidence that Jones belongs behind bars.

According to WKRC Cincinnati News, Jones now faces 75 different charges and he has been ordered to get rid of all of his livestock by January 13, 2014. In the meantime, Jones has continued to abuse and neglect his animals by not providing them with food or water. Mason County sheriff Patrick Boggs stated, “the order was to make sure they were fed, not that we were to do the feeding. But since Mr. Jones has not been doing the feeding or watering, we have taken it upon ourselves to make sure those animals are fed and watered.” The Mason County police, along with the local Humane Society, are feeding the animals with no help from Jones.

Back in 2010, Jones was charged with 30 counts of animal cruelty, for which he spent 180 days in jail. At that time, investigators found 30 horses and donkeys that were neglected to the point of starvation. Jones did not even provide them with their basic need of water. These latest inhumane acts further prove that Jones belongs behind bars and should be banned from ever owning another living creature.

By signing the petition below, you will encourage Mason County Attorney Hon. John Estill to prosecute George Samuel Jones to the fullest extent of the law.

Dear Hon. John Estill,

I was disturbed to learn that George Samuel Jones has been released from jail only to continue his deadly abuse towards the animals on his farm. On Dec. 30, 2013 investigators found 16 dead horses in various stages of decomposition on Jones’ property. Since his release from prison, he has continued to neglect his animals by not providing them with food or water.

Back in 2010, Jones spent 180 days in jail for multiple animal cruelty charges that stemmed from Jones neglecting and starving 30 horses and donkeys in his care. This man should be banned from ever owning another living creature.

George Samuel Jones clearly did not learn his lesson back in 2010 and 16 horses have paid the price with their lives. Please do everything in your power to see that this cruel and dangerous man is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

  1. Barbara Chichester says:

What’s wrong with the law. This person has broken the
law and should not be allowed to own any animal whatsoever. He will do this again. Put him in jail where he belongs and away forever from animals.

    • That’s the problem, Barbara. There’s no law for the horses because they are not “human?” This monster who starved 16 horses to death however is considered “human” because he has supposedly human appearance. But is he really a human? No he is not! Not by a long shot. And, our justice system stinks. There is no justice for the animals. None whatsoever. We blame other countries for their cruelty to animals but we are just as bad and maybe worse. I hear horror stories of animals being left out in sub zero temperatures and they freeze to death. What kind of human would do such an evil, evil thing? On Facebook I saw this beautiful dog dead, frozen to death. His owner in Indiana had left him out all night where the temperature was 32 below zero. In God’s court this man will be sentenced to burn in hell for all eternity and he will, make no mistake.

  2. Sheila Jefferson says:

Please put this evil in jail where it belongs.
    Thank you!

  3. He’s back, oh no. Please prosecute this man in order to get the maximum sentence. He will only abuse animals again. Also counseling is needed because jail may alone will not stop his warped way of thinking.

  4. WiZaRd Of The Wolf Nation says:

  5. Forget jail! Jones needs a carefully placed bullet in the base of his skull. Someone should put HIM out of HIS misery to all living things?

  6. Patricia Wicker says:

That Man is a Monster!!!!! Never should he be allowed to own an Animal!!!! String him up!!

  7. Adrienne Haydu says:

    Hang him.

  8. Unfortunately, even if jailed, your and my tax dollars will keep this man well fed and housed with plenty of benefits. Whatever happened to an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, starvation for starvation? Seems justified in this case.

  9. Simple!! Lock him in a small confined space and throw away the key!

  10. how is it this individual was allowed to have animals again after the first time?? Son of a bitch!! What useless laws we have. There is no justice for these animals whatsoever!! he needs to be thrown into a very deep black hole with no food or water!!
