Sick Elderly Dog Thrown Out in Trash Deserves Justice

Target: Andrew S. Robinson, District Attorney for Androscoggin County, Maine

Goal: Find and prosecute the person who neglected a seriously ill dog and threw him out with the trash.

A neglected senior dog was discarded with the trash. The dog had a severe case of dental disease and was left to die in crippling pain. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

“The smell was unbearable, we employees could hardly stomach the smell, I can’t imagine what this little dog was going through,” stated Zachary Black of the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. Motto, a Chihuahua, had a rotting odor and was foaming at the mouth. His mouth was one big ulcer and his teeth were in poor condition.

The Lewiston Police Department is investigating, but has not identified a suspect yet. Please sign below to demand that government officials dedicate more resources to finding and prosecuting this dog’s abuser.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Robinson,

A senior dog suffered tremendously after he was thrown into the trash with horrible untreated wounds. The Chihuahua had an ulcer so large that it encompassed his entire mouth. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

“This was the worst case of dental neglect I have ever seen,” stated Dr. Stephen Kinney, a local veterinarian. All of Motto’s teeth had to be removed. He will require multiple mouth cleanings a day and will be on a special diet until he heals. Kinney expects him to recover, despite his advanced age and initial condition.

This poor dog was left to die in debilitating pain. No animal should be treated this way. We demand that you dedicate more resources to finding and prosecuting this dog’s abuser.

Sincerely,
