Justice for Puppy Severely Beaten and Abandoned

Target: Gregory Culick, Chief of Police, Amsterdam, New York

Goal: Find and punish people responsible for beating a puppy to the point of paralysis and leaving it to die.

Police are looking for the person responsible for the abandonment of a severely injured dog. The dog, a black and white terrier mix named Princess, was found in a box left by the side of the road. The dog had severe injuries that police suspect were inflicted by the same person or people that left her to die.

A veterinarian’s examination revealed multiple fractures to Princess’ legs and ribs. She also had a fractured vertebra, which has resulted in paralysis. Princess also lost use of three of her legs. Police say that this is likely the result of the dog being kicked or otherwise beaten. According to authorities, Princess is now in the custody of a rescue organization, where she faces a long road to recovery ahead.

Police are asking the public to come forward with any information, and a reward of $1,000 is being offered to anyone who comes forward with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. The perpetrator could face charges of felony aggravated animal cruelty and other charges including animal cruelty and abandonment.

This act of cruelty toward an innocent animal is vile and unthinkable. In order to ensure that no more animals are subjected to similar treatment at the hands of these abusers, it’s imperative that they are apprehended and punished. Sign the petition below to ask the police to dedicate extra resources to this case in order to swiftly arrest and charge the perpetrators.
