Urgent: Demand Police Find Dog Being Held Ransom by Kidnapper

Target: Roxana Kennedy, Chula Vista Police Chief

Goal: Demand man holding family dog hostage for money be found, identified, and punished.

A couple in Chula Vista, California has reported their beloved pug is being held for a large ransom. The dog escaped with the family’s other two dogs on Easter morning, but while the other two dogs were found and quickly returned by neighbors, Teddy Bear the pug remained missing. The couple received a picture of the dog’s tags, followed by a phone call demanding $400 for the return of Teddy Bear. Attempts to trace the call have been fruitless, as the number was immediately disconnected.

Whoever is holding this poor dog hostage must be found as soon as possible. Kidnapping an animal for the sake of making a profit is cruel and selfish, and it is unknown whether or not the dog is being treated properly by their kidnapper. The couple is heartbroken, likening the loss to that of a child, and are offering a reward just to have Teddy Bear back safe and sound.

We cannot let this dog kidnapper go free. Even if this is not an act of violence or murder, kidnapping still counts as extreme cruelty and one can only imagine the dog’s fear and loneliness. Sign this petition to demand Teddy Bear’s kidnapper be found, captured, and made to face justice.

Dear Chief Kennedy,

A couple’s missing dog is being held for a $400 ransom. Teddy Bear the pug, along with two other dogs, ran loose on Easter morning, but while the other two were returned quickly, Teddy Bear remains in the hands of someone who called the couple and demanded the large sum of money for his return.

This kidnapping is cruel to both Teddy Bear and his family, who is worried sick about their beloved pet. I urge you to do everything in your power to return this innocent dog to his family and ensure that his kidnapper face justice for this cruel act.

  1. Kidnapping is kidnapping whether of an animal or human – a crime either way. Praying those responsible are caught, punished
to the max but most importantly that Teddy is reunited with his family.

  2. Catherine Jenereaux says:

I understand the distress the owners are in regarding their beloved fur friend being kidnapped. It is our responsibility to ensure our pets are protected and secure and at times they may escape and go for a run however the police have to deal with murders, children going missing etc. etc.; they do not have the resources to track this kidnapper down unless it is a ring and they kidnap domestic pets ongoing. I pray that Teddy Bear is dropped off at the owners safe and sound. If it was me I would pay the $400.00 just to have Teddy Bear home.

  6. Poor innocent pug! Plz just pay the ransom or pretend to co-operate with the kidnapper at least? The dog doesn’t deserve any mistreatment! Meantime, the bloody police should do their job to assist!

  7. Candy Niewinski says:
