Goal: Thank Winsome Constance Kindness for promoting animal equality and kindness
Winsome Constance Kindness is one of the most thorough and thoughtful animal welfare organizations in the world. Its goal is to promote kindness toward animals wherever and however possible. This includes human animals as well. The organization is perhaps the only animal welfare group that gives equal attention to both human and non-human animals and emphasizes the necessity of this equality. For showing the world why all living things are equal, Winsome Constance Kindness deserves our gratitude.
The mission of Winsome Constance Kindness is “To promote kindness towards all other living beings and enshrine it as a recognizable trait in the Australian character and culture.” Phillip Wollen founded the organization, named after his mother and grandmother, and has since won numerous awards, including the Queens Birthday Honors in 2005, Australian of the Year in 2007, and the Australian Humanitarian Award in 2006. Their reach is much further than Australia, however. A map of their current footprint can be viewed on the Winsome website, which currently includes 450 projects worldwide in more than 40 countries. Their target is to be involved in 100 countries by the year 2020.
Its Projects range from eliminating cruelty in the food, fashion, entertainment, and medical industries, to building guest houses and offices for the development of NGO’s, supporting humanitarian aid around the globe, and cancer research. It is this devotion to promoting kindness that refuses to be restricted by perceived boundaries between species that separates Winsome Constance Kindness from other animal welfare groups. As one of its core beliefs states, “In their capacity to feel fear, pain, hunger, and thirst, a pig is a dog is a bear is a boy.”
Please take a moment to sign the petition below and thank Winsome Constance Kindness for its incredible effort and not only help bring attention to the work it does, but also spread awareness about the importance of breaking down barriers between species.
