Target: Andres Dominguez, Police Chief of Reading, Pennsylvania
Goal: Find and harshly punish whoever covered a cat in gasoline, tied her in a bag, and left her to be crushed by a garbage truck.
A 1-year-old cat was doused with gasoline, then tied up inside of a trash bag where she was left to be crushed by a garbage truck. Sanitation workers heard her crying out as they were already beginning to crush the garbage in the truck and were able to save her from being crushed to death. The sanitation workers rushed the cat to the veterinarian where she was found to be in shock, dehydrated, underweight, and with a life threateningly low temperature, according to Dr. Kimya Davini of the Humane Society of Berks County. Veterinarians were shocked that the cat, named Miracle Maisy, managed to survive breathing nothing but the fumes of gasoline for six hours while tied up in the bag. Davani said you could still smell the diesel on the poor animal’s fur, adding that this is the most brutal case of abuse she had ever seen.
The Humane Society of Berks County is now offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to a criminal conviction. Unfortunately, it’s not often that cases like this ever see justice. That is why we must pressure the authorities to get involved and help find the sadistic monster who tried cruelly murdering poor Miracle Maisy. Please add your signature to the petition below to urge the authorities to get involved do everything in their power to find and harshly punish the person.
Dear Chief Dominguez,
A cat was doused in gasoline, tied up inside of a bag, and tossed in a garbage truck to be crushed alive. As the sanitation workers began crushing the garbage inside the truck, they heard the cat’s cries and rescued her. This poor cat had survived breathing nothing but gasoline fumes for six hours, and veterinarians say you can still smell the diesel on her fur.
Somebody out there went to this extent to torture and kill this innocent cat, and they’re still roaming the streets. If enough isn’t done to find the sadistic would-be cat killer, they’ll continue to hurt and kill. That’s why we’re urging you to get involved to help find this innocent cat’s abuser and bring them to justice.
