Starving Puppy Abandoned in Box Along Road Deserves Justice

Target: Allan H. Kittleman, State’s Attorney for Howard County, Maryland

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the person who starved a puppy and abandoned him in a plastic storage container.

A puppy was abandoned in a plastic storage container by the side of the road. He was malnourished and had no access to food or water. Demand justice for this innocent puppy.

“What’s it take to give an animal some water? We don’t live in a war zone here,” stated Jill Eberhart, a Columbia resident. She called 911 after finding the brindle pit bull puppy by the side of the road. The container was covered in holes, to help the puppy breathe, but it was filled with the puppy’s feces and urine. Veterinarians reported that the poor animal was extremely malnourished and had open wounds and missing fur.

The puppy was taken to an emergency clinic and is expected to make a full recovery. The person responsible is still at large. Sign below and demand that this person receive the maximum penalty by law, if found and convicted.

Dear State’s Attorney Kittleman,

A 10-week-old puppy was left in a plastic storage container by the side of the road. The puppy was dangerously malnourished and near death. We demand justice for this innocent puppy.

Shocking photos showed the puppy lying inside of the storage container, surrounded by his own feces and urine. Too weak to even stand up, the puppy was in desperate need of water and food. If not for the help of Eberhart, it is likely that the puppy would not have survived.

This horrific cruelty cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case when the perpetrator is found.
