Justice for Dog Reportedly Tied to a Cinderblock and Drowned

Target: Marilyn Mosby, State’s Attorney for Baltimore, Maryland

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the man who allegedly tied a dog to a cinderblock and left it in a reservoir, leading to its death.

A dog drowned after it was reportedly tied to a cinderblock and left in a reservoir. The dog belonged to the suspect’s ex-girlfriend, who expressed concern for its safety in his hands. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

Animal Control officers arrived at Maryland’s Liberty Reservoir to find the body of a dead dog floating in the water. The dog was reportedly tied to the cinderblock with a leash and had an electrical cord around its neck. Microchip information showed that the dog had been adopted from the Humane Society of Carroll County by Anthony Michael Muniz. Muniz’s ex-girlfriend tried to claim the dog after its adoption and told officers that she was “concerned for the dog’s safety.”

Muniz was charged with one felony count of animal cruelty, one misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment, and six other misdemeanor charges related to animal cruelty or abandonment. Sign below and demand that Muniz receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

Dear State’s Attorney Mosby,

A dog was reportedly tied to a cinderblock and left in a reservoir to drown. The dog belonged to the suspect’s ex-girlfriend, who feared for the dog’s safety. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

Records showed that Muniz brought the dog into the Humane Society, claiming that it was a stray. He later returned to adopt the dog. Animal Control and the Baltimore Environmental Police have launched a joint investigation into Muniz after he reportedly left the state following the dog’s death.

This horrific crime cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

  2. Rosslyn Osborne says:

“Ye must not only have kind and merciful feelings for mankind, but ye should also exercise the utmost kindness towards every living creature.
The physical sensibilities and instincts are common to animal and man.
Man is, however, negligent of this reality and imagines that sensibility is peculiar to mankind, therefore he practices cruelty to the animal…..
In reality what difference is there in physical sensations! Sensibility is the same whether you harm man or animal: there is no difference. Nay, rather, cruelty to the animal is more painful because man has a tongue and he sighs, complains and groans when he receives an injury and complains to the government and the government protects him from cruelty; but the poor animal cannot speak, it can neither show its suffering nor is it able to appeal to the government.
If it is harmed a thousand times by man it is not able to defend itself in words nor can it seek justice or retaliate…..
Therefore one must be very considerate towards animals and show greater kindness to them than to man…. Man is generally sinful and the animal is innocent; unquestionably one must be more kind and merciful to the innocent”. Baha’i Faith Writings

  4. So, because of this Anthony Michael Muniz should not be allowed to adopt or even buy another animal as long as he (sorry excuse for a human being) lives.

Such worthless human molecules must be removed by exactly the same treatment, their victims had to endure!!!

  6. This is demented & heartbreaking — Crimes against animals MUST be taken seriously — there are way too many idiot-monsters loose in our world – — think of the suffering & cruelty inflicted on this sweet dog — Why allow psychos to get away with these brutal abuses — who do they think the ARE — we MUST round them up & throw these insane criminals into prison — mete out severe punishments OR whatever it takes to ensure they do NOT repeat their demented crimes — LENGTHY prison terms — along with hefty fines — we want NO repeats of abuse to and killings of animals, EVER !

  7. Marilyn Glasgow says:

Another dog pays the price because two moronic so-called humans can’t get along. How many times have we seen this happen? I think the Humane Society blew this one. Rest in peace, poor little soul.
