Drunk Frat Boys Used Beached Shark as Can Opener – Demand Arrests

Target: Matthew Bershadker, President & CEO of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Goal: Find and charge the spring breakers who abused sea creatures with alcohol and shared it on social media.

Videos have surfaced showing college students on spring break drunkenly abusing animals on the beach. Urge the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to find these disgusting animal abusers and charge them with animal cruelty.

Total Frat Move, a male interest website devoted to college Greek life, posted various videos on one of its Instagram accounts showing spring breakers committing animal abuse. One video shows a man using a beached shark with a fishing line and hook in its mouth to open a beer as the man’s friend holds open the shark’s jaws.

Another video shows a man floating in the ocean while holding a starfish, then pouring his drink down the starfish and drinking out of the animal. Yet another video shows a man holding on to a struggling seagull while parading the animal around on the beach and then inside a building as the bird screeches.

It’s sickening that these people not only abused innocent wildlife, but tried to glorify it by posting videos of it online. These spring breakers are laughing as animals are in pain and suffering for absolutely no good reason. These people must be held accountable. Urge ASPCA to find these abusers and charge them with animal cruelty and any other additional crimes that they can.

Dear Mr. Bershadker,

Videos posted on an Instagram account run by a popular site for fraternities show spring breakers committing horrifying animal abuse while partying drunk on the beach. A shark, a seagull and a starfish are among the known victims who were grabbed, injured and had alcohol poured on them.

This kind of behavior must not be celebrated and encouraged on social media and instead must be punished. I urge you to find the perpetrators and punish them to the full extent of the law.

  1. The president of the web page where this was posted dosen’t understand all the fuss – the site needs to be shut down and the animal abusers all charged

  2. What idiots !!
Someone needs to teach them about compassion and sensitivity.
Hope their parents are proud of the scumbags they have brought into the world and I hope they get to read what everyone thinks of them.

  3. Hard to believe college boys are really that stupid.. I hope they catch the idiots.. why didn’t a passerby do something. This makes me sick.

  4. Heartless individuals will see this as just a fraternity prank. Those of us who have compassion for animals will see it as just the opposite – i.e. a Sick, Twisted, Inexcusable way to get one’s jollies. These MORONS need to learn a serious lesson. Harming innocent animals is NOT a prank, but an act of malice, inhumanity and indecency. These IDIOTS deserve to be punished; I can only hope that the justice system agrees.

  5. Marilyn Glasgow says:

Good job, mummy and daddy. Your spoiled rotten punk brats off to college to drink and do whatever vulgar things come to their so-called minds. These jerks are the future, folks. Scary, isn’t it?

  6. Lisa Zarafonetis says:

    Signed & shared

  7. Brigitte Maria Evans says:

What a bunch of Stupid Worthless Inhumane Bastards – Someone needs to teach this Sick Morons a Lesson, do the Same to them !!!!!!! I wonder how these Jerks were raised without Compassion or Morality !!!!!!! It takes a bunch of Stupid Psychopath Cowards to harm Innocent Defenseless Animals – A Curse on these Vulgar Pieces of SCUM !!!!!!!

  8. Um…the ASPCA only has legal jurisdiction in New York. If this event happened outside of NY, and none of the boys involved are New Yorkers, then how will petitioning the ASPCA help?

  9. Cruel evil sick vile worthless scum.

  10. I expose my students to probably the most rigorous IB or AP issues I can find or
produce and sometimes a lot of class is spent discussing
ideas reasonably than crunching numbers https://math-problem-solver.com/ .
There is no such thing as a need to fulfill anybody or face
    ridiculous deadlines.
