Target: Ed Brodsky, District Attorney for Sarasota County, Florida
Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the man who allegedly confined 14 dogs to crates without access to food or water.
Fourteen dogs were reportedly found malnourished and living in poor conditions. The dogs were reportedly confined to crates without access to food or water. Demand justice for these innocent dogs.
What agricultural unit deputies and animal service officers reportedly found when they raided Ivan McCollum’s home was shocking. Fourteen dogs were reportedly confined to crates and covered in urine and feces. One dog was reportedly tethered to a tree outside of the home without access to food, water, or shelter.
The dogs were taken from the home and given much-needed medical care. McCollum was arrested and charged with animal cruelty and unlawful confinement of an animal. He was granted high supervision release. Sign below and demand that McCollum receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.
Dear State’s Attorney Brodsky,
Fourteen dogs were reportedly starved and near death in a Sarasota County home. The dogs reportedly lived in poor conditions both inside and outside of the home. We demand that these dogs receive the justice that they deserve.
A shocking photo shows one of the dogs standing in a cage, its ribs clearly showing through its skin. Per veterinarian reports, all of the dogs found at McCollum’s home were malnourished. Some of the dogs also had an internal parasite that could kill them if left untreated.
Anyone who can do this to a helpless dog must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
