Target: James R. Farrell, District Attorney for Sullivan County, New York
Goal: Demand that a couple who allegedly inbred 23 dogs and denied them necessary medical care face the maximum penalty.
Three generations of dogs were allegedly inbred and denied vital medical care. The dogs suffered from severe deformities and some had to be euthanized. Demand that justice is served for these innocent dogs.
“It’s sad because this all could have been avoided by spaying and neutering these animals,” stated Animal Control Officer Joanne Gerow. She visited the property with local sheriff’s deputies after the couple attempted to surrender four dogs to a local breeder. Per reports, they found 23 inbred dogs including two litters of puppies. Many of the dogs suffered from treatable medical conditions such as a fractured pelvis, a severe ear infection, skin issues, hair loss and malnutrition.
Jennifer Lynn Gordon and Joshua Dolittle were each charged with three counts of animal cruelty. The dogs were sent to local animal rescues and given veterinary care. Sign below and demand that Gordon and Dolittle receive the maximum penalty by law, if found guilty.
Dear District Attorney Farrell,
Twenty-three dogs were allegedly inbred and forced to suffer with painful medical conditions. Four puppies had to be euthanized due to their severe deformities. We demand that justice is served for these innocent dogs.
Gordon and Dolittle allegedly bred their two dogs, and then began breeding the puppies from the same parents. Per veterinarian reports, this resulted in painful and potentially lifelong medical conditions in these puppies. Some of the dogs suffered from conditions that reportedly could have been treated or cured for their comfort, but Gordon and Dolittle allegedly neglected to seek the necessary medical treatment.
These dogs suffered due to this alleged neglect. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
