Justice for Dogs Allegedly Neglected and Left to Die

Target: Rachel Romano, Prosecuting Attorney for Harrison County, West Virginia

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the man who allegedly neglected and abandoned his dogs.

Three dogs were reportedly neglected and denied medical care. One dog was allegedly left to die after its owner was evicted from their home. Demand justice for these innocent dogs.

Harrison County officers first responded to Russell King’s property after they received a call about a dog running loose. What they found at the scene was shocking. Per police reports, a pit bull had a heavy chain tied around his neck and infection on his skin and eyes. All three dogs on the property were reportedly not vaccinated or wearing tags. Though this was resolved, authorities were called back to the property when King allegedly moved and left one dog behind to die.

King was arrested and charged with abandoning an animal to die, withholding medical treatment, and cruelly chaining an animal. Sign below and demand that King receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Prosecuting Attorney Romano,

Three dogs were allegedly neglected on a Harrison County property. Russell King, the man residing on the property, reportedly denied the dogs medical care and abandoned a dog to die. We demand justice for these innocent dogs.

A concerned neighbor called Harrison County officers after they discovered an abandoned dog. The dog had reportedly been living on the empty property for two weeks after King was evicted. It’s unknown if the dog had access to food, water, or shelter. Per police reports, King had previously received multiple warnings regarding neglecting the needs of his dogs.

This horrific neglect cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

Karma! He’ll get his, the bastard. Waste of crap, scumbag!

  2. Beth Marie says:

Attorney Romano, why are there numerous abuse cases in West Virginia. These abusers don’t get prosecuted, is it considered not important? Your state has a problem, people know they can get away with it.

  3. We have the same in diamond Illinois. People get evicted every 3 mths.and leave there animals to run wild. Some may think a nice person will take it in others don’t bother to find a home. When I first got here January 06 a man took his daughter left the apartment and left a blood hound puppy for 5 weeks. The owner of building didn’t have keys and the basement windows couldn’t be pryed open had I not taken a bent paper plate pushed under door with kitty food and water I’m sure it would be gone.

  4. This sickens me! Anybody that abuses animals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law! It’s called a lengthy prison term for the torture they placed upon these poor defenseless animals.

  5. First thing I hope and pray that the animals are vetted and then found new and loving homes. Then, this creep must be punished. This is not acceptable and we MUST HAVE IF NOT THEN PASS VERY SEVERE LAWS AND THEN ENFORCE THEM WHEN ANIMALS ARE ABUSED,TORTURED,ABANDONED AND KILLED.
Make an example of this guy and BAN HIM FROM EVER HAVING ANIMALS AS HE HAS SHOW US HE IS CRUEL,INHUMANE AND NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM.
