Target: Obie Webster, Executive Director of Entertainment and Sports Venues
Goal: Cancel plans with Garden Bros. Circus due to its cruel animal acts.
Garden Bros. Circus is currently on tour with Carson & Barnes Circus’ elephants and plans on visiting the McKenzie Arena. Both circuses have allegedly abused and neglected their animals and it is time to stop supporting this cruel form of entertainment.
Garden Bros. Circus’ manager, Zachary Garden, allegedly beats his animals, withholds food, and denies them veterinary care when they need it most. An informer claimed that Mr. Garden once hit a zebra so hard he fell to his knees and then to his side. In addition, the head trainer for Carson & Barnes Circus was caught on tape beating and shocking his elephants. The elephants can be heard screaming in pain.
Sign this petition and demand the McKenzie Arena cancel its plans with Garden Bros. Circus.
Dear Mr. Webster,
The McKenzie Arena is planning on hosting Garden Bros. Circus despite its reputation of allegedly abusing and neglecting its animals.
A whistle-blower claimed that the manager of Garden Bros. Circus, Zachary Garden, beats his animals regularly and denies them food and veterinary care. The whistle-blower also claimed that Mr. Garden once hit a zebra with a long wooden stick with a blunt metal end. The impact was so strong that the zebra fell to his knees and then all the way over. In addition, the elephants traveling with Garden Bros. Circus were provided by Carson & Barnes Circus which also has a reputation of abusing its animals. Carson & Barnes Circus’ head trainer was caught on tape beating his elephants with bullhooks and shocking them with electric prods. The elephants can be heard screaming in pain.
Please consider canceling your plans with this cruel circus. No animal should suffer and be exploited for human entertainment. At the very least, please require the circus to perform without its animal acts.
