Target: Scott M. Perrilloux, District Attorney for Livingston Parish, Louisiana
Goal: Demand maximum penalty for woman who allegedly left multiple dogs locked in cages during a flood, causing several of them to drown.
Multiple dogs drowned, and still others were severely injured, after they were allegedly locked in their cages during a flood. Investigators with the Human Society of Louisiana were horrified by what they found in the flooded home. Multiple dogs lay dead in their cages, drowned in the flood water. The surviving dogs suffered from open sores, lesions and bloody, infected paws. They had apparently been standing on wire kennels for their entire lives.
The surviving dogs were evacuated and given medical treatment. An arrest warrant has been issued for the dogs’ owner, with a charge of animal cruelty. Sign below and demand this owner receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.
Dear District Attorney Perrilloux,
A woman allegedly locked her dogs in their cages during a flood, causing several of them to drown. The few that survived were reportedly in very poor condition. We demand justice for these innocent dogs.
Investigators were horrified by the condition of the surviving dogs. They all suffered from severe mange, leaving most of them hairless. They had reportedly been confined to their cages for so long that they could not walk unassisted. According to the Humane Society of Louisiana, the dogs were barely alive upon rescue.
This extent of neglect cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty for the owner in this case.
