Target: Mark Becker, President of Georgia State University
Goal: Cancel plans with the cruel traveling circus UniverSoul.
Georgia State University plans on hosting the notoriously cruel traveling circus, UniverSoul. Not only does this circus allegedly neglect and abuse its animals, but it has also put communities in danger.
Animals in captivity face daily mental and physical hardships. Their lives are typically shorter than that of their wild counterparts and filled with much more stress. One of the circus’ animal trainers admitted to keeping his big cats in their cages for 24 hours a day up to seven days a week. In addition, animals have escaped from UniverSoul twice which put the animals and the community in danger.
Sign this petition and urge Georgia State University to cancel its plans with UniverSoul. These animals should not continue to be exploited for human entertainment.
Dear Mr. Becker,
Your university plans on hosting the UniverSoul circus which is notorious for its alleged animal abuse and neglect. A few of the exhibitors even have citations with the USDA.
Not only does this circus allegedly abuse and neglect its animals, but animals have escaped from UniverSoul twice. This put the animals and the community in great danger. UniverSoul’s current big cat exhibitor has admitted to keeping his animals in their cages for 24 hours a day up to seven days a week. Captivity and the large crowds these animals are forced to “perform” in front of cause great stress and many physical and mental hardships.
Please consider canceling your plans with UniverSoul circus. These animals should not be forced into a life of captivity for mere human entertainment.
