Demand Department Store Stop Selling Fur

Target: Kathryn Bufano, CEO of Bon-Ton

Goal: Stop Bon-Ton from selling fur products.

Despite knowing how horribly animals on fur farms are treated, department store Bon-Ton continues to sell fur products. It is time to stop supporting this cruel trade.

Animals on fur farms are typically held in small, dirty cages where they have limited access to food and water. They face new horrors each day and their lives are cut dramatically short. They are killed in whatever way the industry deems most convenient. Common ways include strangulation, suffocation, anal electrocution, neck breaking and poisoning.

Sign this petition to demand Bon-Ton stop selling furs. No animal should suffer and die for an article of clothing.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Ms. Bufano,

Despite knowing fur comes from the tortured bodies of dead animals, your stores continue to sell fur products. It is time to stop supporting this cruel industry and spare countless animals from unnecessary pain and death.

Animals on fur farms are typically held in small, dirty cages with limited access to food and water. They are often confined inside and rarely see sunlight. They are neglected, exploited and then killed at a young age. The industry prefers to use convenient and cheap methods of killing including strangulation, suffocation, neck breaking, anal electrocution and poisoning.

Please consider no longer selling fur at your stores. No animal should be exploited, tortured and killed for an unnecessary article of clothing. Many companies including QVC, Zappos and Lands’ End have already stopped selling fur and I hope you follow in their footsteps.

Sincerely,

  1. Kathy – The Animal Kingdom are citizens of this Earth and they have just as much a right to be here as you and I do. Show some compassion for the millions of innocent animals who are needlessly tortured and skinned alive each year for their fur. Faux fur is the answer. Think about their unimaginable pain and suffering when you cash your next paycheck…

  2. Carol Brandt says:

Yes. Next time you experience the minor discomfort of a burn or paper cut, pause… multiply by a million- and you may understand their pain.

  3. Rhona LaBruzzo says:

Bon-Ton, I am boycotting your stores until you do away with fur sales. What right do you think you have to make money off of an animals pain? You are a heartless bunch and I hope you all rot.

  4. Bon-Ton — bunch of f***ers!!

  5. POR FAVOR, NO PODEMOS SEGUIR SENTADOS SÓLO VIENDO CÓMO PASA ESTA CRUELDAD DELANTE DE NOSOTROS Y NO HACER NADA!!!!! ESTO NOS AFECTA A TODOS!!! URGEN LEYES QUE PAREN POR MEDIO DE LA FUERZA Y LA REPRESIÓN LA TERRIBLE Y DENIGRANTE CRUELDAD!!! DETENGAN LOS CRÍMENES!!!!!!!

  7. It has come to my attention that Bon-Ton is marketing items which are made from fur. This is nothing short of despicable! In today’s modern society, there are cruelty-free fabrics all around us and absolutely no excuse for Bon-Ton to continue to sell fur. Competitors of yours which include Zappos, QVC, the Home Shopping Network, Lands’ End, as well as others, are fur-free. I will not shop at Bon-Ton and will tell everyone I can what your company does. And, I computer network every, single day.
