Punish Man Who Reportedly Abused and Killed His Girlfriend’s Cat

Target: Peter F. Kilmartin, Attorney General for Providence County, Rhode Island

Goal: Demand that the man who allegedly abused his girlfriend’s cat, leading to the cat’s death, face the maximum penalty possible.

A cat was found disoriented and seriously injured after she was allegedly abused by her owner’s boyfriend. The cat had to be euthanized due to the extent of her injuries. Demand that justice is served for this innocent cat.

Nicole Ricci contacted the Pawtucket Police Department after she came home to find her cat, Baby Girl, acting strangely. Veterinarians determined that Baby Girl had suffered broken ribs, punctured lungs, and infections indicating internal injuries. “One of the veterinarian [sic] equates it almost to being struck by a motor vehicle, like with that significant amount of trauma,” said SPCA Special Agent Joseph Warzycha. The injuries were reportedly human-inflicted.

Authorities arrested Scott Baptista, Ricci’s boyfriend, and charged him with malicious injury to or killing of an animal. Sign below and demand that he faces the maximum penalty in this case.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Attorney General Kilmartin,

A woman came home to find her cat disoriented and seriously injured. Authorities have charged her boyfriend, Scott Baptista, with malicious injury to or killing of an animal. We demand that justice is served for this innocent cat.

“I just knew something was wrong. And I’m like, ‘What did you do to her?’ And he just — he stopped answering,” stated Nicole Ricci. Ricci had left her three cats home with her boyfriend earlier in the day. When she returned, one cat had suffered broken ribs and punctured lungs consistent with abuse by a human. The cat had to be euthanized due to the extent of her injuries.

This horrific crime cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. Remove this individual from society! He is a threat to us all. If he can do this to a defenseless animal, proven fact he will also do this to individuals and children. This MUST be prosecuted, no excuses, no please bargains. Start prosecuting these abusers!!!

  2. Pamela Chattergoon says:

Pick on somebody who can defend themselves. On yeah wimps don’t do that. Only when people finally accept this is your next serial killer, will they ever do anything. Stop denying.

  3. One bullet. It’s no good. Simple

    • Dropped in to say don’t we wish… But death is too good for this guy, let him experience what he did to the defenseless first, a taste of his own medicine. Strengthen the inadequate Providence County anti-cruelty laws SPECIALLY for this guy, find the strength – a “batterer” and assault and abuse, physical and psychological, on many levels, these guys don’t change.

  4. Linda Cummings says:

I hope the barbarian gets the same treatment in jail that he inflicted on this cat. My what a big brave man he is, able to kill a tiny helpless cat!

  5. David Lavery says:

These abusers always have an excuse for their cruelty, but their excuse is just lies. Its a shame the Law is always too soft with abusers.

  6. Why people in law department think less of creatures that God create than peoples?? I don’t think in any religion God have said that these animals are there for you people to kill and have fun. We have no right doing that. I only hope that these WIMPS will get what they deserves real soon!

  7. RENEE HOWARD says:

What is wrong with our society that there are these many perverted persons running around abusing poor animals..i mean didnt Jefferey Dalmer start out abusing animals…death sentence is the only answer…as moving on to humans will surely be next…

  8. This pos should be skinned alive! That’s what he deserves because I agree with everyone posting! He will do this again, to more animals and also to human beings! He’s worthless garbage and needs to be disposed of.And if he’s disposed of with A LOT of pain, oh well! I don’t give a sh*t!

  9. KatWrangler says:

Scott Baptista is one of the Monster POS of the Day.
I’m beginning to think some people have become possessed by the most evil of – whatever. Who does s#!t like this?

Another person suggested a single bullet. I agree, but…
Maybe we should use a few dozen, and start at this stinking monsters ANKLES, and S-L-O-W-L-Y go up from there.
Let him know it’s coming. It’s only fair.

And I hope that Nicole Ricci is NOT the forgiving type.
And Peter F. Kilmartin, AG for Providence Co, Rhode Island, sees this case for the CRIME it is.
