Kyle Monroe of the Muncie Police Department. Clinton Ricker reportedly shot his mother’s bunny and kitten before throwing them into the stove. He stated that the bunny was suffering from a tumor and that he was trying to put it out of its misery. His motives for allegedly killing the kitten are unknown. His mother denies that the bunny was ever ill.
Ricker has been charged with animal cruelty. Per court records, he admitted to incinerating the animals. Sign below to demand the maximum penalty in this case.
Dear District Attorney Arnold,
A bunny and kitten were reportedly shot and thrown into a wood-burning stove. The kitten was only a few months old at the time of its death. We demand justice for these innocent animals.
“We see a decent amount of neglect cases — left out in the cold, not fed, beaten — but executed and incinerated is not anything in [the] eight years I’ve been around I’ve heard of,” stated Det. Kyle Monroe. Investigators believe that the animals were shot prior to being thrown into the stove. It is unclear whether the shots or the fire killed them.
This horrific crime cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
