Target: Keith M. Kaneshiro, Prosecuting Attorney for Honolulu County, Hawaii
Goal: Demand that the person who shot a cat resulting in its death be faced with the maximum penalty possible.
A cat was shot with a BB gun or pellet gun, leading to its death. The person responsible is still at large. Demand that justice is served for this innocent cat.
“I could hear what sounded like a gun cranking or a BB gun or air gun or pellet gun cranking. It sounded like it was coming from right outside my front window. Not more than 15 minutes after that, I could hear rambling coming through my garage like the cat was scrambling,” stated Vanessa Nacorda, a Kalaeloa resident. The cat died on her doorstep just moments after the gun blast. Police confirmed that either a BB gun or a pellet gun was used in the attack.
This is the third known incident of a cat being hurt or killed in the area in the last month. Police are investigating but have no suspects yet. Sign below and demand that this person face the maximum penalty in this case.
Dear Prosecuting Attorney Kaneshiro,
A cat was shot and killed by an unknown perpetrator. This is just one of multiple incidents where a cat has been hurt or killed in the Kalaeloa area. We demand that justice is served for this innocent cat.
“It’s animal cruelty. They shouldn’t even be out doing what they’re doing,” stated Vanessa Nacorda. The escalation of animal attacks in Kalaeloa has alarmed local residents. Two feral cats were shot with bow and arrows in separate incidents over the past month. Though the neighborhood has a high population of feral cats, Nacorda reports that they generally keep to themselves.
The person who committed these acts of cruelty must be stopped. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
