Stop Painkiller Abusers From Abusing Their Dogs

Target: Dr. Robert M. Califf, Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration

Goal: Put a stop to owners maiming their dogs to get their hands on drugs.

People all over the world are purposely harming their dogs to get their hands on tramadol, a painkiller that has gained popularity as an illegal recreational drug. This terrible trend is a combination of two great problems that plague society: animal abuse and drug abuse. Too many innocent dogs are suffering brutal injuries at the hands of their owners, people who are supposed to care for them but instead nearly kill them in order to gain access to drugs.

This is a highly disgusting and disturbing trend. Not only has the unlawful use of tramadol in order to get high led to over 300,000 deaths in humans, it is now causing pain, suffering and even death in a large number of innocent dogs. Some veterinary clinics and hospitals no longer carry the drug as a result.

We must stop this trend, not only to prevent future deaths in humans but to protect innocent dogs from brutal injuries at the hands of these humans. Abusers of the drug must be punished accordingly and sent to rehab, and their dogs taken into protective custody. Sign this petition to prevent further abuse and deaths of innocent dogs.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Commissioner Califf,

The abuse of the painkiller tramadol has not only killed over 300,000 people in the past year, but it has led to people injuring their dogs on purpose in order to obtain access to the drug for their own use. Too many dogs have been maimed, beaten or nearly killed just so their owners could get prescriptions for tramadol. Tramadol is a drug similar to Vicodin and Percocet, it is not only a powerful painkiller but a narcotic that can cause addictive behavior in those who use it.

This problem is not only putting many people’s lives at risk, but has led to widespread animal cruelty. These poor dogs do not deserve to be brutally injured just so their owners can “get high.” You must aid us in putting a stop to tramadol abuse, both for the sake of saving human lives and to protect dogs from such abuse. Anyone who is suspected of abusing their dog must be arrested, and those seeking tramadol must be screened to ensure they will put it to its proper use.

Painkillers are meant to heal and treat, not to kill. A medicine as dangerous and powerful as tramadol should not be so easily accessible. Please help us put a stop to this trend of maiming dogs for the sake of abusing the drug.

Sincerely,

  1. Linda Geeson says:

Give these scumbags buckets full of the drugs–free–all day every day–until they die. Then the animals will be safe from these worthless a**h*les.

  2. Lop their pos heads up and take the animals into protective custody where they’ll receive love and care from normal humans. See, problem solved? A better world for people and animals. Now we just need to make this a law. You torture, abuse or kill animals and/or people and off with your pos head!
