Dog Allegedly Kicked to Death by Delivery Driver – Demand Justice

Goal: Seek maximum punishment and license revocation for delivery truck driver accused of killing a harmless dog.

A dog was killed after a delivery driver allegedly kicked him and broke his neck. Milo, a 6-year-old Schnauzer mix who was nicknamed the Tennessee Biker dog, was known by the community as the unofficial mascot for his owner’s business, Value Cargo Vans. The dog’s owner, Joe Burris, says Milo snuck out while he was outside talking with the driver of the delivery truck. Burris later got a phone call from police saying that his dog had been killed. Burris believes that the driver of a delivery truck is responsible for Milo’s tragic death.

The owner of the delivery company reportedly excused the driver’s alleged behavior, claiming that the small dog charged him, so the driver “kicked him a couple of times, then ran him over.” Since Milo didn’t have any marks, blood or scars, Burris says he’s confident the dog wasn’t run over but instead was brutally kicked to death.

While Mr. Burris awaits the necropsy results for the dog who he refers to as his best friend, the local police say they’ll be investigating. Milo was loved by an entire community, including the employees and customers at his owner’s business. It seems highly unlikely that Milo ever posed a threat to anyone, and yet he somehow wound up dead. Please sign this petition to demand that the driver be punished to the maximum extent and fired from working as a delivery truck driver, if found guilty.

Delivery drivers are in a position of trust. If this driver killed a dog that posed no threat to him, then he has no business working in a field where people’s pets are vulnerable. We urge you to make sure that this driver is punished to the maximum extent and his license revoked, if found guilty.
