Target: Howard Keith Hall, County Attorney for Pike County, Kentucky

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the man who was reportedly caught on video punching a camel.

A viral video showed a man hitting a camel. The camel belonged to a Kentucky-based ranch and was to be used as part of a living Nativity scene. Demand justice for this innocent camel.

“Those poor camels have been smacked, kicked, choked by being pulled to the ground every time they try and stand up. My kids and I are absolutely heartbroken seeing them treat the camels this way,” stated Tiffany Sparks, a witness to the alleged abuse. Her video, showing the man hitting the camel, was uploaded to Facebook and went viral.

The man in the video is alleged to be Joseph P. Price, who has now been fired from the 5-H ranch and charged with animal cruelty. The living Nativity scene has been cancelled. Sign below to demand the maximum penalty in this case.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear County Attorney Hall,

A shocking video showed a man hitting a camel. The camel was to be a part of a living Nativity scene, which has since been cancelled. We demand justice for this innocent camel.

The video displayed a disturbing interaction between a ranch worker and a camel. The man appeared to want the camel to lie down. When the camel did not comply, the worker used force, punching the camel in the face. Witnesses recorded the interaction and posted it on Facebook, garnering over 130,000 views in just two days. The man shown in the video is alleged to be Joseph P. Price.

Animals are not here to do man’s bidding and they do not deserve to be abused. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. Darlene Avery says:

So glad this despicable man was fired, but this is assault and he must be charged with abusing this poor, defenceless camel. This violence against innocent animals must be stopped now.

  2. Firing this jerk Joseph P. Price is not enough. Make him pay a higher price for animal abuse …a hefty fine and jail time!

  4. Howard – The Animal Kingdom are citizens of this Earth; they deserve our respect and, sadly, our protection against assholes like Joe Price. These innocent animals are tortured and murdered on a daily basis and it’s high time that those who hold positions in law enforcement and the judicial system, the people who can make a difference, start treating animal torture/murder as crimes. On behalf of those of us who tirelessly sign these Animal Petitions on a daily basis, we ask that you please prosecute this POS to the fullest extent possible.
