Target: Michael B. Medline, CEO of Canadian Tire
Goal: Thank Canadian Tire for no longer selling fur.
Canadian Tire is a major company that owns many subsidiaries including Mark’s, Sport Chek, National Sports, and Pro Hockey Life, and it just made the groundbreaking decision to go fur free. Canadian Tire owns about 1,100 stores across Canada, and this decision will spare thousands of animals from unnecessary pain and death.
Fur comes from the bodies of tortured animals. Animals held on fur farms are typically kept in small, dirty cages where they have limited access to food and water. The animals live short, miserable lives and are then crudely killed in whatever way is most convenient. Common ways these animals are killed include strangulation, poisoning, neck-breaking, suffocation and anal electrocution.
Sign this petition and thank Canadian Tire for making the decision to go fur free. It is great to see more and more people coming together in the fight against fur.
Dear Mr. Medline,
Recently, Canadian Tire made the groundbreaking decision to no longer sell fur at any of the company’s stores or online. This decision will spare thousands of animals from unnecessary pain and death.
As you know, animals held on fur farms live short, miserable lives that end in a crude death. It is a life no animal should be subjected to. No animal should die for an article of clothing, and it is clear that you agree.
Thank you for speaking up for those that cannot speak for themselves. I can only hope more companies follow in your footsteps and end their support of the cruel fur industry.
