Dear State’s Attorney Ashton,
A cat was shot in her own backyard, leading to her death. The bullet struck her in the hips and penetrated her organs. We demand justice for this innocent cat.
“She made it to the glass door because she saw us, and we were afraid to open it because we didn’t know what was going on. That’s when she just collapsed right there,” stated Daina Matte, the cat’s owner. She rushed the cat to the veterinarian, who later confirmed that the cat had been shot.
Matte has two other cats and is fearful for their safety. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
