Target: Mike Cirullo, Boynton Beach City Attorney
Goal: Seek harsh penalty and ban from owning animals for the woman who allegedly left a puppy and rabbit in a vehicle without enough oxygen.
A pit bull puppy with a heavy chain around his neck and a rabbit were found in an unattended vehicle with all the windows up. After breaking a window to rescue the puppy, police say they heard noises coming from a box that was taped shut. They opened the box to find a rabbit nearly dead from the lack of oxygen. The puppy, who was panting and moving sluggishly, had to be given aid and water.
Witnesses say the two animals were locked inside the death trap between one and two hours. Police said the owner, Beatrice Turner, told them the dog was fine in the car and expressed no concern for their well-being. Turner was charged with two counts of animal cruelty.
The poor rabbit was on the verge of an agonizing death and the puppy was suffering significantly. The careless owner who allegedly did this must’ve known that animals need oxygen to survive. It seems Ms. Turner lacks any regard for the lives of innocent animals or she wouldn’t have been so careless and cruel. Please sign this petition to demand that she receive a harsh punishment and be banned from owning animals, if guilty.
Dear Mr. Cirullo,
A puppy and a rabbit were reportedly left in a vehicle to suffer until police rescued them. The puppy had a heavy chain on and was moving sluggishly while the rabbit was found inside of a box with no holes.
These innocent animals would’ve died an agonizing death thanks to the owner’s alleged carelessness and cruelty. Please ensure that the owner is harshly punished and banned from owning animals.
