Gabby, a female basset hound, was also found severely injured. Gleason reported that the dogs belonged to his boss but that he’d been caring for them for months. He stated that he was unaware of their current condition.
Gleason was charged with two counts of animal cruelty and possession of a controlled substance. He was released from jail on bond. Sign below and demand the maximum penalty in this case.
Dear State’s Attorney Brodsky,
One dog was found dead and another severely injured while in the care of a Florida man. He reportedly never sought medical attention for either dog. We demand justice for these innocent dogs.
Manatee County Animal Services officers spoke with the dogs’ owner, who’d moved away months before, and confirmed that the dogs were entrusted into Daniel Conrad Gleason Jr.’s care. Gleason reportedly informed the owner that he had sold the dogs on Craigslist. The dogs were discovered days later, one decomposing.
This neglect cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
