“Farmyard of Horrors” Owner Must Be Punished

Target: Brown County Ohio Sheriff’s Dwayne Wenninger

Goal: Press charges against owner of home containing more than 100 dead or dying animals.

Over 100 dying or malnourished animals were rescued in Southwest Ohio from what authorities are referring to as a “farmyard of horrors.” According to the Brown County Animal Shelter, 139 animals were removed from the backyard of a home in Fayetteville, Ohio. Most of the animals were chickens, but other animals included goats, dogs, rabbits, and sheep. Some of the animals were already dead, while others were barely alive. Authorities claimed that the animals had been forced to live in filthy conditions with hardly any space to move around.

The owner of this ghastly home told officials that he wanted to use the animals to feed his family. This, however, does not excuse the cruel and inhumane treatment that these innocent animals were found being forced to endure. Regardless of intention, there is no excuse for allegedly keeping animals in such unsuitable conditions.

Charges have not yet been filed against the owner, meaning that this mass display of animal cruelty may go unpunished. Sign the petition below to demand a stiff punishment.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Wenninger,

I am writing to bring your attention to a recent case of animal cruelty in Fayetteville, Ohio. Responding to an odor complaint, officials discovered a home with more than 130 dead or dying chickens, dogs, goats, and other animals. The animals had reportedly been forced to live in filthy conditions and were cramped in small spaces.

The owner of the home claimed he intended to use the animals to feed his family, but that is no excuse for this mass display of inhumane treatment. Such horrible conditions for innocent animals must be punished. I urge you to press charges and ensure that this man does not go unpunished for his alleged heartless treatment of these animals.

Sincerely,

If you let them get away with it then you are no better and guilty of cruelty too, Its time to protect animals from evil. aT his is dreadful

  3. Yolanda Bernhard says:

Find and hang up these goddamd animal torments
Take away all the poor animals – forever

  4. Close this so-called farm down, never let these monsters have animals again, and fine and imprison these sick owners.

  5. He says he kept the animals as food to feed his family but the dog found locked to a chain and 60 pounds underweight (what, was he going to eat the dog too…sarcasm). It’s said the owner appeared to avoid any initial arrest or charges by turning over the animals upon request but that doesn’t erase what the animals went through, the extensive and needless, inhumane suffering. Anti-cruelty charges, I’m sure, can be applied to the dog immediately while the rest of the process drags on…
Another good question: how did he kill the hapless animals when it came time for “food”…. As someone said, the powers that be should recognize the dangerous defects and character flaws in abusers and hold them accountable for their crimes, with appropriately serious sentence…especially in relation to preventative measure [with regards to the future].

  6. If that cruelty goes unpunished then you better start changing your laws fast.
The maximum penalty should be given to that monster, and that should be hung by the neck till dead.
