Justice for Dog Duct-Taped and Left on Road to Die

Target: Devon Anderson, Harris County District Attorney

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the person who duct taped a dog’s muzzle shut and left her by the side of the road.

A dog was found abandoned on the side of a Texas road with her muzzle duct taped shut. She had to be put to sleep due to the extent of her injuries. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

Authorities are calling it a clear case of animal cruelty. A Precinct 1 deputy found the female German Shepherd along a road. Duct tape surrounded her muzzle and she was covered in open wounds. The Houston SPCA veterinary team discovered that she also had head trauma and punctured tumors throughout her body. The dog suffered greatly from her injuries and had to be put down.

The Houston SPCA is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who can identify the person responsible for this heinous act of cruelty. Sign below to demand the maximum penalty in this case.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Anderson,

A dog was discovered along the side of a road, her muzzle duct taped shut. The person responsible is still at large. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sgt. Christine Kendrick of the Houston SPCA stated that duct tape “really causes an extensive amount of damage to the skin and the tissue of the dog.” It also prevented the female German Shepherd from breathing properly in the hot weather. Several open wounds and multiple punctured tumors only added to the dog’s suffering. She was humanely put to sleep to ease her pain.

The Houston SPCA is searching for the person responsible for this abuse. Take a stand against animal cruelty and seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. How long do we have to seen the vile kind of animal abuse, it is never going to stop as the law takes no real interest in doing anything, the scum hat treat animals this way are most often not even hunted down, these crimes are just pushed to the bottom of the pile. If by some miracle it get to court no real punishment it handed out so no deterrent & the vile cycle keeps on going, with innocent animals continuing to be killed & tortured by sick assholes. Only when we really start clamping down on these scum will we have any chance of stopping this outrage.

This person needs to be found and taken off of the streets. Piece of vermin that needs to be stomped on and killed. God will punish the evil. I hope that this person dies a violent death.

  3. EVERY STATE NEEDS TO TAKE ANIMAL ABUSE SERIOUSLY.Why does every
one think animals are property to be abused and tortured. They are living.,
creatures that have feelings and need love and attention,.WHAT IS IT GOING
TO TAKE for the LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES to take this seriously? If
they don’t want to enforce the law and punish these abusers then they
should allow the citizens to do their job for them. These low lifes need to be
punished and made to be responsible for their crimes. These low lifes need
to have a bad accident that can’t be explained. It just mysteriously happened.
IF these low lifes disappeared WHO WOULD CARE?

  8. Just to let people know that aren’t from Texas know, Texas & the SPCA do prosecute people in animal abuse cases. Thank goodness too! Just need to find the person responsible for this horrific act and the Houston SPCA officers will finish building their case to present before the judge! Livevin Texas and, thanks to Animal Planet asking The Houston SPCA to be a part of their Animal Cops series have watched many a take down along with the start of the prosecution of an abuser too. Sadly though not every state has laws regarding animal abuse be it a pet, livestock or a stray or feral. Those states need to change and with people like us advocating for the animals rights, hopefully they will too!
