Abusive Horse Facility Used to Collect Antitoxins Must be Shut Down

Target: Dr. R.M. Kharb, Chairman of Animal Welfare Board of India

Goal: Shut down facilities accused of neglecting their animals to collect antitoxins.

Horses, donkeys and mules across India are held in facilities for the sole purpose of producing antitoxins. After receiving clearance, PETA India and professionals from esteemed veterinary colleges inspected these facilities and what they found was atrocious.

Inspectors report that they found many of the animals were suffering from numerous, serious ailments including infected wounds, bleeding, swollen limbs, blindness, and anemia. Basic husbandry needs for these animals were clearly neglected and most were quite fearful when humans came too close.

Sign this petition and demand the Indian government shut down these abusive facilities and encourage facilities to use cruelty-free, non-animal derived methods of producing and collecting antitoxins.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Dr. Kharb,

Recently, PETA India and experts from some of the most prestigious veterinary colleges inspected the facilities where antitoxins are produced and collected. These facilities use horses, donkeys and mules in order to obtain the antitoxins. What inspectors say they found was hell on earth for these animals.

The animals were clearly suffering and had obvious injuries and ailments. Many of the animals seen were malnourished, blind, anemic, bleeding, had infected wounds or swollen limbs. In addition, basic husbandry needs were clearly neglected and these animals were very fearful of humans. It was apparent life at these facilities was full of fear and pain for these animals.

Please consider shutting down these cruel and abusive facilities. These animals suffer every minute they are forced to live within those walls. There are many cruelty-free ways that do not use animals to produce antitoxins and it is time to take advantage of that technology.

Sincerely,

Very typical of India along with Asian countries…… black hearts

  2. WHAT EVIL VILE THINGS THAT ARE CALLED HUMAN BEINGS, WHAT A LAUGH, DO TO THESE SICK BASTARDS THE THINGS THEY DO TO BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, THEN STRING THEM UP.

  3. India is still in the dark ages when it comes to animals- will not visit there until they become educated in the care of its animals. These horses are more noble, than the humans causing their suffering.

  4. Linda Barnett says:

This disgusting practice belongs in the dark ages NOT the 21s century. Immediate closure of these facilities is called for and for these innocent abused horses to be rehomed to accredited sanctuaries where they can recover and live out their lives without suffering. Shame on India for abusing these vulnerable and voiceless creatures. This cruelty to horses is inexcusable and totally unnecessary. Use non-animal methods of producing and collecting antitoxins and STOP ABUSING LIVING CREATURES! The world is watching!

  5. Carolyn Taylor says:

This abusive and sad treatment of noble horses must stop, now! Shut down this horrid facility and stop the abuse of defenseless horses, now!

  6. THIS DEPLORABLE EVIL CONTINUES TO GROW WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD THAT WE ALLOW THIS CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR! IT MUST STOP ONCE AND FOR ALL!

  7. These animals shouldn’t be being exploited in any case, much less being tortured by severe neglect. And typically hypocritical of India – deeming by law that dolphins are sentient, but leaving OTHER sentient creatures right out of the equation. Idiots! This whole facility should be SHUT DOWN.

  8. Cindy Pisarcik says:

please government officials help these animals and see that these places are shut down.

these innocent animals do not deserve this cruel treatment.

    please help them!
