Target: Garry Gilmore, District Manager of U.S. Postal Service in Houston, Texas
Goal: Fire mailman who allegedly pepper-sprayed dogs for no reason.
A mailman was reportedly caught on camera spraying three small, harmless dogs with pepper spray. The extreme eye irritation can be seen in photos taken after the attack. Even their coats became discolored, the owner explained.
In the video, the 21-year-old mailman, named John Brucewayne O’Veal, apears to approach the home and immediately begins spraying the poor dogs, who are closed-in behind a gate on the porch. The dogs bark, but they don’t appear aggressive or threatening. O’Veal is relentless as he sprays the dogs repeatedly, making it hard to believe that this was an isolated incident. On top of that, his calm, careless demeanor makes one wonder how many times he’s done this before.
There’s no telling how many other pets have become victims of this cruel mailman and his pepper spray. The suffering inflicted upon these dogs was unnecessary and cruel. O’Veal is facing animal cruelty charges and a warrant is out for his arrest. This kind of person has no business working in the postal service. Please sign this petition to demand that he be fired for his alleged animal cruelty.
Dear Mr. Garry Gilmore,
Three small dogs were reportedly attacked by a mailman who cruelly pepper-sprayed them. The dogs were closed in on the porch and appear to be of no threat to the mailman. Video footage shows the mailman spraying relentlessly as he digs for the mail.
There’s no telling how many animals have been unnecessarily attacked by the pepper-spray wielding mailman. We urge you to show zero tolerance for animal cruelty and fire him, if guilty.
