Target: Jessica R. Cooper, Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney
Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for a man who reportedly shot his neighbor’s dog, causing the dog to lose her leg.
A Michigan man reportedly shot his neighbor’s dog after she hopped a fence to enter his yard. The dog survived, but lost a leg. Demand justice for this innocent dog.
“And all he said was ‘She was on my property.’ He had not an ounce of sympathy, Nothing,” Lauren Foster, the dog’s owner, reports. She heard the gunshot shortly after letting Aurora, her Labrador/pit bull mix, outside. There, Foster reportedly found the neighbor pointing a gun at Aurora. He allegedly turned and pointed the gun at her when she tried to approach.
The bullet severed a nerve, requiring the veterinarian to amputate Aurora’s leg. Madison Heights police are investigating the shooting. Sign below and demand the maximum penalty in this case.
Dear Attorney Cooper,
A man reportedly shot his neighbor’s dog, allegedly because it entered his yard. The dog suffered serious injuries leading to the amputation of her leg. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
Aurora was outside for only a few minutes when her owner heard a devastating yelp. She found Aurora bleeding and reportedly standing at gunpoint. The neighbor stated that Aurora lunged at him and that she often trespassed in his yard. While the neighbor claims to have filed complaints in the past, Madison Heights police have found none on file. Aurora has no history of aggression and is reportedly a friendly dog that loves all people.
Aurora’s life will never be the same again. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
