Praise Retailer for Ending Sale of Angora Rabbit Hair

Target: Kerry O’Neill, Director of Sourcing and Production at Venus

Goal: Thank Venus for ending the sale of angora rabbit hair.

A popular women’s clothing brand, Venus, recently banned the use and sale of angora rabbit hair. This is a great step forward in ending the abuse angora rabbits face on fur farms. Venus has now joined over 200 other companies that have banned angora rabbit hair, including Anthropologie, Forever 21, and Zara.

Rabbits trapped on angora fur farms have their hair ripped, plucked or torn from their delicate bodies every three months until they are killed. Life on these farms is horrific, and no animals should have to experience it.

Sign this petition and thank Venus for making the compassionate choice of ending its sale of angora rabbit fur. If the rabbits could speak for themselves, we know they would thank them as well.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Ms. O’Neill,

Recently, your company made the groundbreaking decision to ban the sale of angora rabbit fur. I was ecstatic to hear this news. You have now joined over 200 other companies in the fight against angora fur farms.

Rabbits on angora fur farms have their hair plucked, torn or ripped from their bodies every three months. They typically live in small, dirty cages for their entire lives until they are killed. It is a sad life that no animal should have to face.

Thankfully, many companies are choosing to stop the sale of angora. Thank you for making the compassionate decision. I can only hope your decision inspires others to make the change.

Sincerely,

They do not hurt the rabbits. They just brush the hair to get the loose hair so they can make it into yarn. It’s just like brushing your dog to groom him. It doesnt hurt at all! It’s not cruel !
