Target: Beth Drake, U.S. Attorney of South Carolina

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the man who reportedly housed hundreds of dogs in disease-ridden conditions.

Over 100 dogs were found starved and physically injured in a reported South Carolina puppy mill. Demand the maximum penalty for the person responsible.

Chester county officers reportedly found 116 Dobermans living in disease-ridden conditions without access to food and water. Many of the dogs allegedly had physical injuries that were left untreated and had not received their vaccinations. Neighbors reportedly contacted the authorities after the dogs ran wild throughout the neighborhood.

Jordan James Johnson, the dogs’ owner, has been charged with nearly 200 counts of animal cruelty. The dogs are said to be recovering well. Sign below and demand the maximum penalty in this case.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear U.S. Attorney Drake,

Over 100 Dobermans were found starved and physically injured after they escaped from an alleged puppy mill. Take a stand against animal cruelty and seek the maximum penalty in this case.

The dogs lived in “grossly unsanitary and disease-ridden conditions,” reports claim. Johnson allegedly left them without access to food and water and allowed them to run around the neighborhood unsupervised. Investigators accused Johnson of intentionally inflicting unnecessary pain and suffering on the dogs.

Neglect on this scale cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. Until people in charge start taking this abuse serious this will never end. Being a U.S. Attorney it’s your job to protect animals right along with humans. Too many people who could stop this abuse do nothing and it needs to stop now! We must be a voice for the voiceless, if we’re not who will? Please see that this sick man is Never allowed to house animals for the rest of his life. Please do the right thing so one day this will no longer happen to innocent animals.

    • The USDA (same people who are over factory farming conditions) are “over” puppy mills….they IGNORE this brutality, my assumption is they’ve been paid off…..but I don’t know.

In my opinion ALL puppy mills should be shut down.

  2. Send petition to govenor! South Carolina should be ashamed of its unrelenting puppy mills and animal abuse in general; the soring of horses still goes on, the abusers who walk out of court with a slap on the wrist fine, it is pathetic! I know, “we will put it on the table for next year” – that’s what our pathetic legislators say!

    • Its not just SC…..its ALL OVER the U.S. and in Great Britain and Australia as well…..as long as people will buy “cute” little puppies, and don’t bother to find out where they came from, this will continue.

  5. This is horrific! I am so upset since I purchased a condo in South Carolina in July 2016. I did not know that this state is big on torturing animals in puppy mills. Now that I know I’m dumping it! All the great reports of how South Carolina is the best place to live with recreation and culture for the whole family. What BS! They’re making profits and money by torturing innocent animals in these sick mills
Come on Attorney’s of SC. Do something about this ASAP!!

    • It is truly not just S.C…..its ALL OVER the U.S. and in Great Britain and Australia as well…..as long as people will buy “cute” little puppies, and don’t bother to find out where they came from, this will continue. The USDA is “who” is “over” puppy mills, and they are the ones who could close them all down, but they won’t….

They are also “over” factory farming conditions for animals and you know, or should know, how bad that is!

  6. MY HEART BREAKS EVERY TIME I READ SOMETHING LIKE THIS, WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THESE SICK AND VILE PEOPLE, PLEASE MAKE THEM PAY, NO ANIMAL SHOULD GO THROUGH THIS SORT OF THING.

    BAN CRUEL PUPPYMILLS WORLDWIDE!

  8. Cynthia Gannon says:

I pray that blessings fall upon all of us animal lovers who watch and act with vigilance when encountering animal abuse. It is impossible to wipe out cruelty to farmed, domestic or any kind of animals because mentally sick or cruel humans will always be around to harm them. But equally there is an increase in the animal activist movement and we are growing in numbers. Let’s continue to be the watchdog on cruel acts anywhere in the world and let us come together and force legislators to act with appropriate consequences. It’s on us.
