Target: Theophani Stamos, Commonwealth’s Attorney for Arlington County, VA

Goal: Demand the person who left a trail of poisoned meat patties on a popular walking trail be found and punished to the maximum extent of the law.

A dog became ill after ingesting meat laced with pills while walking in Arlington, VA’s Bluemont Park. The owner reportedly found several meat patties filled with colorful capsules and pills along the trail. Demand that the person responsible for this cruelty receive the maximum penalty by law.

Natascha Weber rushed her 6-year-old dog Yoko to the vet after she found her eating the suspicious meat. The vet induced vomiting, likely saving Yoko’s life, and identified a green substance resembling rat poison. While test results are pending, this would be the second incident in the past year and half where poisoned meat was found in an area frequented by dogs.

Weber filed a police report, and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington is currently testing the meat. Yoko is expected to make a full recovery. Sign below and demand that the person found guilty of this horrific act receive the maximum penalty for this cruel crime.

Dear District Attorney Stamos,

A dog reportedly became ill after ingesting meat laced with pills. The meat patties were laid out along Four Mile Run in Bluemont Park, a popular walking trail. Take a stand against animal cruelty and seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Yoko, a 6-year-old dog, could have died after ingesting the suspicious meat. A green substance, found in Yoko’s vomit, suggested that at least some of the capsules contained rat poison. Testing has yet to confirm this suspicion.

This is the second time in the past year and a half that suspicious meat has been found in Arlington. This poses a threat to both animals and small children. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

  1. This person needs to be found and prosecuted to the fullest. In fact our punishment for people who abuse animals should be stiffer then it is. Anyone who knows who did this should be a responsible person and turn this person in. We as a nation have got to start doing our duty and reporting these kind of people before possibly we become a victim of one of deranged persons

    just kill them!

  4. What if a child had gotten this poison? Animal cruelty is one small step from child abuse. Failure to hunt down and prosecute the one responsible needs to be priority.

  5. Marilyn Graziano says:
