Marilynne Jones reportedly laughed as her a 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Gracie, desperately tried to escape from the water. Hooked to a leash, Gracie was unable to dodge the overpowering waves. Witnesses looked on in horror as Gracie went limp and began foaming at the mouth. A witness pulled Gracie from Jones’ arms and a lifeguard performed resuscitation.
