Target: Valdet Xhaferi, Minister of Justice, Republic of Macedonia
Goal: Severely punish police accused of ignoring a case of animal torture, if guilty.
Police officers in Macedonia are being accused of blatantly ignoring animal cruelty reports involving photos of a pregnant dog that was brutally stabbed and hanged. The gruesome photos were reported to police, but they allegedly ignored and chased away the local resident who tried reporting the horrific crime. A spokesperson for the police says that they’re now investigating to find out if the police refused to note the report.
People from Anima Mundi, an association for the protection of animals, filed a complaint stating that the police failed to respond to the report of animal torture, despite photos of the gruesome event appearing online. If the police are found guilty of failing to report and do something about this deplorable case of animal torture, then they should face a severe penalty. Please add your name to this petition to demand that the officers are severely punished for allegedly failing to take this case of animal torture seriously, if guilty.
Dear Minister Xhaferi,
Photos appeared online of a pregnant dog who was stabbed and hanged, but when a local resident tried reporting the case of animal torture to police, they reportedly turned her away. The officers are now being investigated on the accusations that they refused to note the report and even chased the resident away.
The person who committed this gruesome act of animal torture is a sadist and danger to society. If the police didn’t take this matter seriously, then they are failing at their jobs and allowing their citizens to be put in danger. We demand that the officers involved in this refusal to report the animal cruelty are punished to the most severe extent, if guilty.
