Stop Violent ‘Running of the Bulls’ Festival

San Fermin Francisco83pv

Target: Joseba Asiron, Mayor of Pamplona

Goal: Put an end to the annual and violent San Fermin Festival.

The San Fermin Festival, most recognizably known as ‘the Running of the Bulls,’ is held every year in the city of Pamplona, Spain. The festival is a violent affair that ends in unnecessary injury and death to humans and animals. This year ended with 11 sexual assaults, four rapes, and one alleged attempted rape.

The alleged sexual assaults, rapes, and attempted rape occurred against men, women and children. In addition, 54 bulls were tortured and killed. This festival condones violence and puts residents, visitors, and animals all in danger.

Sign this petition and demand that the Pamplona government put an end to this festival. Banning this festival can prevent future pain, injury and even death.

Dear Mayor Asiron,

This year’s San Fermin Festival ended with 11 sexual assaults, four rapes, and one alleged attempted rape. In addition, 54 bulls were tortured and killed. This festival condones violence, and it is time it is put to an end.

The alleged attacks were against men, women and children. This festival puts all people, residents and visitors, and animals in danger. Scientists believe that there is a link between violence against animals and other forms of violence. Researchers at Northeastern University and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals discovered that people who hurt animals are five times more likely to hurt a person.

Please put an end to this savage festival. Banning the ‘Running of the Bulls’ festival can prevent future pain, injury and death.
