Target: Bill Barron, Ann Brower, Lake County, Montana Commissioners
Goal: Remove 130 severely neglected dogs from kennel owners charged with animal cruelty.
Multiple dogs were found emaciated, dehydrated, and near death at a kennel. Investigators found about 130 dogs in the kennel. However, only 11 of them, those deemed in need of “special” veterinarian care, were rescued and will be under the care of a veterinarian for now. Reports say that some of the dogs could need months of treatment to recover.
The raid occurred after a deputy found numerous complaints about the kennel dating all the way back to 2008. It’s a shame that these owners were allowed to continue operating for so long despite years of complaints against them.
Larry and Nadine Latzke, the owners of LDR Kennels have been charged with aggravated animal cruelty, but they still have ownership of all but the 11 rescued dogs. The dogs will remain stuck at the kennel until August 10, when the court hearing is set to take place. Even then, there’s a chance that the owners will be allowed to keep them. Please add your name to this petition to demand that these innocent dogs be rescued and the kennel owners banned from owning animals, if guilty.
Dear Mr. Barron and Ms. Brower,
The owners of a kennel were charged with aggravated animal cruelty when authorities found some of their dogs emaciated, dehydrated, and near death. Despite years of complaints against the owners, all but 11 of the dogs were left in their care.
It’s a shame that these poor animals could be left under the care of people who neglect and abuse them. We urge you to do everything possible to help ensure that all 130 dogs are rescued from the shelter and the owners banned from owning any more animals, if guilty.
