Justice for Cat Severely Burned and Left Untreated

Target: Tim Altomare, Anne Arundel Chief of Police

Goal: Issue most severe penalty possible for man who allegedly failed to seek treatment for severely burned cat.

A man was reportedly charged with animal cruelty after police found a cat with severe burns at his home. According to the veterinarian exam, the cat had been suffering from the horrific injuries for a time frame of about 10 days to two weeks, which is an incredibly long time to suffer.

The cat, named Charlie, required emergency care and was later transferred to an animal hospital for even more treatment. Had the police not discovered this poor cat, he probably would’ve never received the medical treatment he needed.

How Charlie got the injuries is unknown, but the fact that the owner, 53-year-old Sean McDermott didn’t seek treatment is highly suspicious. Aside from the unspeakable amount of pain, Charlie’s life was at risk and there’s no excuse for it. Please sign this petition to help bring Charlie the justice he deserves by demanding that McDermott receive the most severe penalty possible.

Dear Mr. Altomare,

A man was reportedly charged with animal cruelty when police found a cat in his home suffering from severe burns without treatment. The cat had been living with these horrific burn injuries anywhere from 10 days to two weeks, which is absolutely inexcusable.

The fact that the owner didn’t bother to seek medical care for the severely burned cat is suspicious in itself. We urge you to help bring this innocent cat the justice it deserves by pushing for the maximum penalty in this case, if the owner is guilty.

  1. As a resident of Maryland I have been very disappointed in the judgements handed down to those found guilty of animal cruelty. It is a known fact that
serial killers started out killing animals. There is something very wrong with
someone who does not realize the harm they have caused to another living creature.

Lee you are so correct, and unless animal cruelty is treated with the same absorbance as that committed against a child, or higher, then these perpetrators move on to child and spousal abusers.

fucking asshole should be burned!! I cannot believe the cat survived,
