Keep Cruel Puppy Store Out of Business

Target: Angi Metler, Executive Director of Animal Protection League of New Jersey

Goal: Fight to keep Just Pups locations in New Jersey closed for good.

The owner of a Just Pups puppy store was charged with 267 counts of animal cruelty after 67 puppies were allegedly found locked in a van behind the store. This horrific animal abuse reportedly led to both the Paramus and New Brunswick locations being closed. However, despite the fact that many dogs reportedly became severely ill and died thanks to his actions, Vincent LoSacco is still fighting to re-open his store.

It seems clear that the dogs at these businesses are not taken care of. In the case against the Paramus location, several dogs allegedly became severely ill and some died after being locked in the freezing cold van for hours. This was just one of many crimes reportedly committed against too many dogs suffering in these stores.

Just Pups prides itself on its credentials and the dogs it sells, but in reality it is just a business treating animals like objects. Its stores seem to have no concern or respect for the dogs they carry.

Not only should the entire chain be shut down, we must fight to keep it shut down. These dogs deserve better than to be neglected, exposed to dangerous diseases, and treated like objects. They are living creatures with the potential to become loving pets, and they deserve to be treated with more respect and care than they are receiving at these locations. Sign this petition to keep Just Pups closed and out of business for good.

Dear Ms. Metler,

Despite being charged with over 200 counts of neglect and cruelty, the owner of Just Pups still fights to keep his store open. Too many dogs suffered due to his alleged actions already; we cannot allow another incident like the one in Paramus.

Just Pups may pride itself on its credentials, but in truth it is no better than the controversial puppy mills in existence. In fact, it may as well be a puppy mill under another name and fancy location; the way its stores treat their animals is no better than the mills.

Puppies deserve loving care and treatment, not abuse and neglect. Please enforce the permanent closure of not only the Paramus location, but the New Brunswick and Emerson locations as well.

  1. Rhona LaBruzzo says:

This is the US, not a babysitting service. They would have to check in on you all the time to make sure the pups were taken care of. The owner has 200 animal neglect charges against him and I see more then 3 strikes there. Grow up you failure. Leave the innocent puppys in care of decent, caring people.

  2. Maxine Sheehan says:

It’s a damn disgrace that it’s necessary to sign a petition to stop this monster from using puppies to make his living, regardless of the suffering he’s causing. The officials need to get their heads out of their collective asses and stop this monster.

  3. darlene giliberti says:

why is the one on route 10 not closes hanover he that that store plsese go look at that store

  4. Ban all retail sales of pets. It creates an environment where abuse is profitable. If people must purchase a pet go directly to the breeder where you can see the conditions your pup or kitten was raised in. There is also the humane choice of adopting your new family member from a shelter or rescue group.
