Target: Lauren Amezaga, Director of Camp Kids Klub
Goal: Cancel camp’s overnight trip to SeaWorld.
SeaWorld is notorious for mistreating its animals, yet a children’s camp is planning an overnight stay. Camp Kids Klub is a popular children’s program in California. Despite hearing about all the atrocities that happen at SeaWorld, the camp is moving forward with its overnight trip to the amusement park.
At SeaWorld, marine mammals like orcas are trapped in concrete tanks where they are unable to swim in the endless ocean. In the wild, orcas travel up to 100 miles a day and dolphins travel up to 60. In addition, these animals are very social and intelligent. Denying them all their natural needs is detrimental to the animals’ physical and mental health.
Sign this petition and demand Camp Kids Klub cancel its trip to SeaWorld. It is important to teach children that animals belong in the wild, not in cages and tanks.
Dear Ms. Amezaga,
Your camp is planning on having an overnight trip to SeaWorld. This place may seem fun for children, but it is hell on earth for the animals imprisoned there.
At SeaWorld, marine mammals are trapped in concrete tanks with nowhere to go. In the wild, orcas travel 100 miles a day and dolphins travel up to 60 miles a day. These intelligent, social animals suffer physically and mentally every day they spend at SeaWorld.
Please consider canceling your overnight trip to SeaWorld. Instead, bring the children out into nature where they can learn that animals belong in the wild, not trapped in cages and tanks.
