Target: Kimberly S. Robb, District Attorney of Pitt County, NC
Goal: Punish owners who allegedly neglected four dogs and caused two of them to die.
Rescuers allegedly found one dog already dead and three others severely suffering, likely as a result of gross neglect. We need to take action in order to ensure that, should they be found guilty, the accused individuals are held accountable so that they will not be able to harm other animals.
Unfortunately, one of the three dogs rescued was in such poor health that it had to be euthanized. While the other two dogs are still alive, they are both apparently infested with worms and even show signs of malnourishment. Because of how horrible of a condition the dogs were found to be in, owners Ismel Daniels and Yolanda Parker were charged with two misdemeanor animal cruelty counts and two felony counts of animal cruelty.
Demand these individuals be given a harsh penalty under law if it is found that they allowed these dogs to clearly suffer. Animals don’t deserve to be neglected by the very people who should be doing everything they possibly can to make sure their pets’ needs are met.
Dear District Attorney Robb,
Three dogs were allegedly found in a state of severe neglect and one dog was apparently found dead in a couples’ backyard by rescuers. Anyone responsible for mistreating these dogs needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law in order to better ensure other animals will not have to endure the same horrific fate.
Sadly, one of the dogs that was rescued had to be euthanized, as it was in extremely ill health. According to reports, the other two dogs are being treated for worms, as well as for other major health issues. If they cannot recover, they, unfortunately, may also have to be euthanized. The dogs’ owners, Ismel Daniels and Yolanda Parker, are thought to be responsible for the animals being in such horrible condition.
For these reasons, I encourage you to suggest to the proper court that both Daniels and Parker be given a lengthy sentence if it is found that they mistreated these dogs. People who do not want to be bothered with taking care of helpless creatures have no right owning animals.
