Target: Luis Guillermo Solis, President of Costa Rica
Goal: Find and punish people who allegedly dragged and later cut up a live, endangered turtle and killed it.
An endangered green sea turtle was reportedly tied to a car, then dragged on the road by people who proceeded to slice the turtle up to kill it. In the disturbing footage, people laugh as the turtle suffers unspeakably. These animal abusers even felt comfortable showing their faces in the film, which goes to show how dangerous they must be.
Harming, killing, or collecting these endangered turtles can be punishable by up to three years in jail. What these people did to this poor turtle goes beyond cruelty. These killers should serve a much steeper sentence than a measly three years in jail. Demand that the authorities get involved, find the people in the video, and aim for the maximum penalty.
Dear President Solis,
An endangered green sea turtle endured some of the most horrific cruelty imaginable when it was dragged behind a car, then reportedly cut it up and killed. The monsters responsible for this are seen on camera laughing and enjoying themselves as they torture it.
We urge you to do everything possible to identify the people who did this and then help see to it that they are sentenced with the most severe penalty possible.
