Protect Threatened Rhinos From Illegal Poaching

Target: Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union Commission.

Goal: Crack down on criminal gangs that illegally slaughter threatened rhinos.

Poachers have killed at least 1,338 rhinos in the last year. This is the largest slaughter in over a decade, negating all previous conservation victories. Demand that African authorities eradicate illegal poaching before it is too late.

Rhino horns are a precious commodity in many Asian countries. They are rumored to cure cancer and treat many other ailments. The outlawing of the ivory trade and increased demand has driven the price of rhino horns higher than ever before. This has prompted criminal gangs to track and kill rhinos. These gangs are dangerous both to the rhinos and to the people who try to protect them.

It is time for law enforcement to crack down on these gangs and put a stop to this devastating slaughter. Sign below to protect the rhino and those who fight for its survival.

Dear Chairperson Dlamini-Zuma,

Poachers killed a record number of rhino’s in the last year. At least 1,338 were slaughtered for their coveted horns. We demand stricter law enforcement practices to combat this illegal trade.

Now a rare commodity, the rhino horn is sought after in many Asian countries. The outlawing of the ivory trade has only increased this demand. Now, dangerous criminal gangs have begun killing Africa’s rhinos with little fear of recourse. They also pose a threat to civilians and anti-poaching teams. This relentless slaughter must end before the rhino goes extinct.

Do not allow illegal poaching to undermine previous conservation gains. We demand that law enforcement crack down on illegal poaching practices in order to save a threatened species.

Please crack down on rhino poaching before it is too late. Please also be humane towards the poachers. I love rhinos, but I think that, if we are to be compassionate towards all sentient beings, we should include the poachers in this philosophy. Please do not kill or harm the poachers unnecessarily, and give them fair trials whenever possible.
Back to the rhinos, we still need to show the poachers that they cannot get away with killing, harming and distressing rhinos. Not only are rhinos endangered, but they are sentient beings, just like us. They have feelings, lives, and families, just like we do, and this is not just anthropomorphic nonsense. Rhinos do not exist for us; they exist for their own reasons, and as part of delicate ecosystems. We need them, and they need us. These rhinos are just as important as humans.
    Thank you.

Victoria u are close to dangerous for this cause and get in the way of our objective. Poachers are like terrorists. Greedy, conscious-less bullies who murder & painfully defile rare and defenseless creatures for their pimps and their own monetary gain. NOT FOR SURVIVAL. Equally is the egotrippen of big game hunters. THIS IS A WAR U can’t approach these people with peace. THEY’LL take your payout plus your body parts. U can’t negotiate with these unglorified gangsters. while u r pleading mercy for poachers, Please also tell me your solution to all the baby rhinos and elephants left orphaned because of these murdering monsters abusing corpses

  3. There are persons who don’t fucking care about animal ethic, they don’t even want to hear what we want to say about. No Mercy Towards TRASH like someone said. Governement must act!!! but they gain so much money also.
That’s why people must wake up! or be in jail! or there will be never an ending until all animals disappear.
