The Tajamar mangrove is being destroyed to build a shopping mall and condominiums in Cancun, Mexico. This area is home to an abundance of wildlife. Crocodiles, iguanas, frogs, birds, fish and other animals have lived peacefully in this mangrove for years upon years.
Mangroves are crucial to local ecosystems. They not only house many different types of animals, but also help protect coastlines during severe weather.
Temporary protection has been granted for the Tajamar mangrove thanks to the locals’ concern. Sign this petition and demand that it’s given permanent protection.
