Target: Ivanka Trump, founder of Ivanka Trump fashion line
Goal: Stop selling the fur of rabbits who were reportedly beaten, tortured and skinned alive in fur farms.
Ivanka Trump, daughter of Donald and Ivana Trump, is still selling rabbit fur items in her fashion line, despite rabbits suffering immensely on fur farms. A recent investigation by PETA Asia into three large fur farms in China — which produces most of the world’s fur — reportedly found slaughterhouse workers hitting rabbits on the head with the back of a knife, hanging them upside down and slitting their throats. Almost all of the rabbits still kicked and twitched as their throats were slit and many were even skinned alive. Footage also allegedly revealed rabbits living in filthy wire cages filled with feces with no reliable access to water.
Many top designers have ditched fur entirely after learning about the cruelty involved. Seeing as Ivanka Trump already offers faux alternatives in her fashion line, she could easily switch to 100 percent fur-free. Sign this petition to remind Ivanka Trump that cruelty is not fashionable and urge her to stop selling items made from real fur.
Dear Ms. Trump,
I was disappointed to discover that your clothing line still contains real rabbit fur despite featuring several other items made from faux alternatives. Rabbits suffer immensely in fur production, as revealed by a recent PETA Asia investigation. Footage taken in fur farms in China — where the fur you sell comes from — allegedly shows rabbits hit on the head with the back of a knife and hung upside down to be slaughtered. The majority of them still kicked and twitched as their throats were slit and many were even skinned alive.
This despicable cruelty is never justifiable in the name of fashion, especially when suitable alternatives exist, as your own clothing line proves. Many other top designers have ditched real animal fur entirely. I urge you to do the same and stop subjecting rabbits to lives of misery and immense pain. Please vow to make your clothing collections 100 percent fur-free.
