Justice for Birds and Pedestrians Shot With Blow Darts

Target: Aaron Harp, Newport Beach City Attorney

Goal: Fight for maximum penalty for whoever’s responsible for the cruel blow dart attack on bridge pedestrians and birds.

Over the past few weeks, birds have been turning up with darts through their necks. A mallard duck and three Heerman’s gulls were spotted on Newport Beach in California, obviously having been shot with a blow dart gun. Little to no attempt was made to find out who was committing this evil act of animal cruelty until a related crime occurred to the north in San Francisco, where pedestrians were shot and hurt with similar darts on the Golden Gate Bridge. The birds targeted in the Newport Beach attack survived, but since animal control officers aren’t able to catch them to help, they now walk around with these darts jutting from their necks and have trouble flying, says Fox11. The two human victims were reportedly shot in the knee. One victim was hit with a dart that penetrated two inches deep.

Police say the victims on the bridge appear to be completely random attacks with no motive or reasoning. This is a severely sick person(s) to go around and target people and innocent, helpless little birds and shoot them from a distance. It seems the people committing this heinous act are receiving some sort of self-gratifying pleasure from inflicting fear, pain, and suffering upon innocent and unsuspecting victims. It should’ve been alarming when multiple birds began showing up with darts all the way through their necks because a person who seeks to commit deliberate animal cruelty just for personal pleasure is capable of doing it to humans. At least now that humans have become targets, the police are starting to investigate and try to find the people responsible.

These are highly dangerous people on the loose and there’s no telling what they’ll do next. That’s why it’s imperative that we reach out and put the pressure on authorities to catch and punish these savage cowards. Demand that when caught, animal cruelty is included among their charges and that they receive the maximum punishment.

Dear Aaron Harp, Newport Beach City Attorney,

Birds with darts penetrating their necks were spotted on Newport Beach, clearly a senseless act of cruelty against helpless animals. Now the blow dart attackers have started targeting humans. Two have been shot walking the Golden Gate Bridge, both shot in the knee. Whoever is committing these sadistic crimes seems to be using the suffering, fear, and helplessness of others for self pleasure. These people are running loose in society, leaving everyone around them at extreme risk of danger.

These people should face animal cruelty as part of their charges. We urge you to utilize all resources to ensure that these people are found and that they’re given the maximum sentence possible.

Unfortunately there are a lot of “sick” individuals in human society. The example described in this article are only the tip of the iceberg – – –

this is bullshit.. I can see the authorities ignoring birds.. happens all the time.. but, since when do we need a petition for people who have been shot? same person making these petitions.. they go on forever and you never hear a damn thing about them.
